One-Punch Man’s third season is only days away, with anime fans waiting for years to see Saitama and his fellow heroes return to the small screen. With so many years away, the manga from the creator known only as ONE has created plenty of brutal battles, not just featuring the titular brawler, but his allies. With so many giant challenges coming down the pike in the anime’s future, we thought now would be the best time to break down some of the biggest characters, both good and evil, that have yet to make their appearance in the anime.

One-Punch Man officially returns for its third season on October 4th, and while we still don’t know much of the manga will be brought to the screen, there’s a possibility that some of the characters listed below will make an appearance. Still, if you want to read ahead and be prepared for what is to come, the hard-hitting manga is available to read along with the original webcomic.

7.) Sage Centipede

Shueisha

Of the many characters on this list, the Sage Centipede seems one of the likely candidates to play a big role in One-Punch Man’s third season. Harboring a grotesque form with a stature that makes it as big as a skyscraper, this centipede is one of the strongest members of the Monster Association for good reason. The anime’s second season ended with Saitama fighting against the Elder Centipede, and in typical Saitama fashion, he was able to defeat it with one punch. Considering just how terrifying Sage Centipede is, it might be a creature that manages to take a punch from the anime hero and survive, much like the previous villain, Boros. While the larger-than-life centipede might not be the villain to defeat Saitama, it is sure to give our heroes a difficult time.

6.) Evil Mineral Water

Evil Mineral Water might be a ridiculous name for an anime monster, but the goofy moniker doesn’t make it any less dangerous. The vapor villain was featured in a preview poster for One-Punch Man’s third season, solidifying the chances of it appearing this fall. What makes Evil Mineral Water so scary, despite its appearance, is its ability to absorb water and various other elements to add to its overall size. The antagonist is one of the strangest creatures to be a part of the Monster Association, but it’s also one of the subterranean collective’s strongest members. Rest assured, Evil Mineral Water is sure to be an MVP in the anime’s long-awaited comeback.

5.) Homeless Emperor

Another character set to be introduced in One-Punch Man season three, the best way to describe the Homeless Emperor is a twisted version of Marvel’s Dr. Strange. Despite not being a creature that was born beneath the Earth’s surface, the bizarre villain has a grudge with humanity that first started when he was a simple salaryman. Not just harboring wild energy abilities, Homeless Emperor has enhanced strength and speed that has him earning his “dragon” level within the Monster Association’s ranks. As manga fans know, the human villain is sure to be a big part of this upcoming season, to say nothing of his origin story having big implications for the anime’s future.

4.) Evil God Garou

Shueisha

This might seem like a little bit of a cheat considering Garou has been a major part of One-Punch Man’s anime adaptation since season two began, but Garou’s final transformation is so impactful that it felt necessary to include it on this list. Imbued with a power from an evil deity that gives the hero filler the strength he has always sought, Garou becomes a force of nature that gives Saitama exactly what he’s been searching for: a worthy opponent. Thanks to the villain being humiliated by the titular hero in the second season, expect Garou to use his “evil god power” in some wild ways in the anime’s future.

3.) Blast

Shueisha

The number one hero of the Hero Association has been one of the biggest mysteries in the One-Punch Man anime series, but manga readers have had the chance to see Blast in action so far. For those who want an introduction to the top crime fighter who has stuck to the shadows, Blast has the power to create portals at will, allowing him to teleport himself and objects to wherever he wants. On top of this, the number one hero has the ability to manipulate gravity at will and has a strength and speed that put him far above nearly every other hero out there. Once Blast does make his anime appearance, expect the anime universe to change as a result.

2.) Void

Shueisha

Void plays quite a big role in One-Punch Man’s history, specifically thanks to this villain being the one who created the ninja village that has spawned some of the anime’s biggest characters. Speed-O-Sound Sonic, for example, got his start in the ninja village. On top of easily being one of the strongest ninjas in Saitama’s world, Void is eventually powered up by the same dark god that juiced up Garou’s power level. The fight against Void is still ongoing in the manga, but when it hits the anime, it’s set to be one of the biggest battles of the television show to date. Of course, there is one being who we had to save for the top of the list.

1.) God

Shueisha

The evil deity simply referred to as “God” has been responsible for giving both Garou and Void their ridiculous power-ups, putting them on an even playing field with Saitama. If there is truly a “big bad” of the One-Punch Man franchise, it has to be this being above all others. Unlike characters like Blast or Homeless Emperor, it’s difficult to nail down the powers of this all-mighty being, but we have to imagine that this creation is the one being that might actually manage to defeat Saitama when all is said and done.
