
The opening of an official website today announced that the fantasy novel “A Misanthrope Teaches A Class for Demi-Humans” (Jingai Kyoushitsu no Ningenengirai Kyoushi “) receives an anime adaptation. You can watch a first teaser and a visual below.
Start in January 2026
“A Misanthrope Teaches A Class for Demi-Humans” is being created under the direction of Akira Iwanaga (“Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest”) in the ASREAD studio. Katsuhiko Takayama (“Demon Lord, Retry! R”) wrote the script, while Maiko Okada (“Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory”) contributes to character design.
In the main roles of the Japanese cast, Toshiki Masuda (Eijirou Kirishima in “My Hero Academia”) can be heard as Rei Hitoma and Sora Amamiya (Akame in “Akame Ga Kill!”) As Kyoka Minazuki. The series starts on Japanese television in January 2026.
The original Light Novel of the same name by Natsume Kurusu has appeared with illustrations by Sai Izumi in Japan since February 2022. A manga adaptation was published in four volumes from August 2022 to July 2025.
