Many readers have already feared it, but now it is official: The Light-Novel series “That Time I got Reincarnated as a slime” (my rebirth as a mucus in another world) ends with the next volume this year.
After eleven years is over
Actually, author Fuse announced in 2021 that he wanted to complete his popular work with the 22nd volume, but surprisingly, the final had to be postponed again because he came more and more.
In his opinion at the time, he emphasized that he intended to catch up with the final in the subsequent volume, but this did not seem too binding.
In the meantime, however, it is definitely clear that Volume 23 of “That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime”, which will be released in Japan on November 29, 2025, will bring the most successful Light-Novel series ever after eleven years.
But even if the original story comes to an end, there is more than enough material for the anime, because at the end of the third season, only nine Light-Novel volumes were adapted. A fourth season has already been announced.
Previously, the new film »That Time I got Reincarnated as a slime the movie: Tears of the Blue Sea Arc« in the Japanese cinemas starts on February 27, 2026.
