The show returns for a second season after launching ZEROBASEONE, but this time the setup comes with a twist. What was originally planned as two separate competitions—BOYS II PLANET K and BOYS II PLANET C—will now merge midway through the show. The result will be one global boy group, shaped by trainees from both programs.
In the teaser clip released on July 14, Leo and Sangwon walk in to cheers and excited reactions from the other contestants. Leo trained for three years and seven months. Sangwon spent six years preparing for debut. After Trainee A fell through, Sangwon stepped away from the industry and worked part-time at a café, unsure if he’d ever return. Then Leo reached out with a simple message: “Let’s debut together.”
Their performance of ENHYPEN’s ‘No Doubt’ during the level test quickly became the highlight of the preview. Judges were visibly impressed by their control and vocal tone. Other trainees even asked if it was live because of how stable their delivery sounded. The stage presence and vocal polish didn’t go unnoticed.
Fans are already rallying behind them. The connection they share and the years of training are showing up clearly on stage. With momentum like this, Leo and Sangwon are looking more and more like top contenders in the competition.
BOYS II PLANET K premieres on July 17 at 9:20 p.m. KST, followed by BOYS II PLANET C on July 18 at the same time.
