Black Clover has become one of the biggest shonen series as Asta’s quest to become the Wizard King is nearing its end. With anime fans waiting for the television series to return, the manga is most likely set to release its final chapter before the adaptation makes a comeback. In a recent update, Weekly Shonen Jump and creator Yuki Tabata are planning to bring back the Black Clover manga relatively soon. Not only will the magic-filled manga return in short order, but fans might be surprised to learn just how many chapters will be released in one burst later this month.
Black Clover’s manga is set to return on October 30th later this month in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump. Not only will Asta’s final fight make a comeback the day before Halloween in Japan, but the magical shonen series will release three new chapters as the grand finale continues. Luckily, this will come as good news for Asta enthusiasts, considering how chapter 383 ended on quite a cliffhanger. With the shonen series recently celebrating its tenth anniversary earlier this year, bringing on other manga artists to share their takes on the magical world, Black Clover has had plenty to celebrate across the board.
When Last We Left Black Clover

As most Black Clover readers know, the final arc of the shonen series has focused on Asta, Yuno, and their countless allies attempting to take down the villainous Lucius. Like many other anime villains, Lucius isn’t just overpowered, but the shonen antagonist has a belief that he is the rightful ruler of the world. Believing that he is the only one who can properly rule the world and eliminate its “flaws,” the ‘big bad’ of the series has become a force to be reckoned with.
As mentioned earlier, the big cliffhanger of the previous manga chapter was Asta finally returning to his feet and promising to end this battle once and for all. With Yuno hanging on by a thread in his fight with Lucius, Asta’s comeback couldn’t come at a better time. While a release date for Black Clover’s final chapter remains a mystery, there is the possibility that the manga could end as early as this year, long before the second season of the anime makes landfall. Speaking of the anime adaptation…
Asta’s Anime Comeback
Studio Pierrot confirmed earlier this year that the long-awaited second season of Black Clover’s anime adaptation will arrive in 2026. It has been over four years since the previous finale landed on the small screen, giving creator Yuki Tabata plenty of time to create more chapters of the source material for the anime studio to work with. In recent years, Pierrot has taken a more seasonal approach to its anime, foregoing the idea that its television series need to be released weekly. With Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War’s final episodes also on the horizon, the production house has plenty of projects on its plate.
