SM Entertainment, the agency, described the album as a collection of BoA’s past music world and a medium that connects emotions and narratives with Jumping BoA (official fan club name) who has been together for a long time.
“I don’t feel anything special about the 25th anniversary, but sometimes I feel like, ‘Is it already the 25th anniversary?'” BoA said. “It’s been five years since the regular album ‘Better’, and I prepared this and that because I wanted to show various sides and tones that I couldn’t show to the fans who have supported me for a long time. I hope you like it.”
Pointing to “Clockwise,” a fan song and final track dedicated to Jumping BoA for 25 years, she wrote, “Jumping BoA who knows me better than I do! Thank you always, and please continue to be with me!” thanking fans.
BoA, who was discovered in the sixth grade in 1998, debuted with “ID; Peace B” at the age of 14 in 2000 after rigorous training. She entered the Japanese market the following year and became the first Korean singer to top the Oricon weekly album chart with her first full-length album “LISTEN TO MY HEART” released in 2002.
The album sold more than 1 million copies. Having grown across Japan and Korea, BoA became the first Korean to enter Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200” in the following year after attempting to enter the U.S. market in 2008.
