Kim Taehyung, known as V of BTS, made his first appearance at Dodger Stadium on Sunday. He threw the ceremonial first pitch before the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game against the Cincinnati Reds.

Wearing a No. 7 Dodgers jersey and jeans, Taehyung greeted Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto with a bow. He delivered a left-handed pitch that earned applause from the crowd. He also led the pre-game cheer, shouting, “It’s time for Dodger baseball!”

During his visit, Taehyung met with Dodgers stars like Shohei Ohtani and Tyler Glasnow. Photos of him hugging Ohtani and warming up on the field quickly spread online. MLB broadcast the moment live, and clips went viral on social media.

Fans reacted positively to his appearance. Some admired his confident pitch, while others joked that the Dodgers should sign him. Several fans in the stands waved banners and lightsticks, creating a small wave of purple in the stadium. Online, hashtags like #TaehyungFirstPitch and #DodgersxTaehyung trended worldwide within hours.

This is Taehyung’s first ceremonial pitch in Major League Baseball. He follows fellow BTS member Jungkook, who appeared at international sporting events. This moment adds to BTS’s rising presence in global sports and entertainment as the group gears up for a full comeback in 2026.
