As with several popular anime titles recently, the rights holders of the new “Chainsaw Man” film have now published an urgent warning in connection with piracy. We summarize.

Legal consequences

Just a few days ago, »Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc« celebrated his premiere in the Japanese cinemas. However, as usual in the anime industry, the successful theatrical release was overshadowed by countless illegal recordings that have been found on the Internet since the first day.

Therefore, it is hardly surprising that the rights holders have joined and indicate that both the illegal record of the film in the cinema and uploading to the Internet are a criminal offense for which up to ten years in prison or fines of up to ten million yen are imposed.

It was also emphasized that regardless of the platform – whether social networks such as Facebook and TikTok or video services such as YouTube – will be filed in any case. The anonymous uploading also does not offer any protection.

In Germany, the hot -warted canvas offshoot can be seen in the cinema with German and Japanese setting in the cinema from October 23, 2025.
