On September 19, 2025, “Chainsaw Man The Movie: Refere Arc” celebrated his premiere in Japan – with extremely good results. We summarize below.

Starker Start in Japan

After more than two successful months, the “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” trilogy kicked off from the top of the Japanese cinema charts, because the first franchise film on “Chainsaw Man” has recorded a total of 1.3 billion yen (about 7.5 million euros) at the box office at its opening weekend.

This enabled the strip more than half of its total budget, which amount to 2.15 billion yen (around 12.4 million euros) and bring in from production costs (600 million yen), advertising costs (250 million yen) and the cost of cinema sales by ToHO (1.3 billion yen).

The evening filler is on the right track, but those responsible at Studio Mappa are likely to look forward to global publication in the second half of October. As the past has shown, “Chainsaw Man” is extremely popular, especially on an international stage.

In Germany, the hot -warted canvas offshoot can be seen in the cinema with German and Japanese voice output from October 23, 2025.
