The publisher poly band Anime announced today that the Prequel film on “Negee No Kitaro” will come to German cinemas in a few weeks. We summarize.
Heavy start in November 2025
The evening filler entitled “The Birth of Kitaro: The Secret of Rocesees” will therefore only be shown on November 18, 2025 in the German cinemas. In which language versions this is shown has not yet been revealed.
The Studio Toei animation was responsible for the production of the approximately 105-minute strip, which made his debut in Japan in November 2023, and directed the Gou Koga (“Digimon Universe App Monsters”).
“The Birth of Kitaro: The Secret of Agrees” represents a prequel to the 97 episoding series “Research No Kitaro”, which can be based on Shigeru Mizuki’s manga series of the same name and can be streamed at Crunchyroll.

In 1956, in the Shōwa era, the influential Ryuga family secretly holds the village of Nagura under her control, while she is fighting for the successor internally.
