The electronics and entertainment group Sony recently announced a new milestone for its streaming service Crunchyroll and explained that he would continue to go to the subject of anime in the future. We summarize.

For the leading anime provider Crunchyroll, it continues to be steeply uphill, because after 15 million paying customers could be celebrated in the summer of 2024, this number now rose to a proud 17 million subscribers.
As part of a presentation on corporate strategy 2025, it was therefore also announced that the growth of the streaming service would be further accelerated, for example by integration into the PlayStation Network to facilitate access to crunchy roll via a PS5 console.
It is also planned to expand the range of anime merchants and mobile games. Crunchyroll is already offering a number of cell phone games.
In any case, Anime is an important part of Sony, which is not only illustrated by the planned anime adaptation of the PlayStation hit “Ghost of Tsushima”, but also to found a new production company in cooperation with Anlex (Sony Music) and the Allianz with Kadokawa.
