The streaming service Crunchyroll announced today that the license on the new short anime for »Lycoris Recoil« was secured. We summarize.

The six-part short series is entitled “Lycoris Recoil: Friends Are Thieves of Time” and will be published in the original sound with German subtitles at Crunchyroll from April 16, 2025. An episode each appears every Wednesday.
As with the main series, the studio A-1 Pictures is responsible for production, in which Shingo Adachi (character design at »Sword Art Online«) is again directed by the script, while the script is written by various authors.
The previous original anime “Lycoris Recoil” ran in 13 episodes on Japanese television from July to September 2022. Crunchyroll brought the series on the market in a complete Blu-ray. Another new anime project is in the works.
