While Crunchyroll might have its fair share of bright and hilarious entries from the anime world, the streaming service is more than willing to give animation enthusiasts some of the darkest examples of the genre. Series like Berserk, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hellsingand more have long sent shudders down the spines of many anime fans, but there has been one recently released series that is looking to stand toe-to-toe with its companions. The recent anime hit the ground running with its first season, and it warms our dark hearts to see that the bleak anime franchise will be making a comeback for season two.
Clevatess has announced that a second season is in the works. Not only is the titular character making a comeback to learn more about humanity while protecting a baby of royal birth, but the anime is returning with a brand new title in Clevates II – The Legend of The King of Demon Beasts And The False Hero. The first season consisted of twelve episodes, recently airing its season finale as the all-powerful protagonist and their unwilling “sidekick” continue dodging terrifying challenges. While a release date has yet to be confirmed for Clevatess’ return, it’s sure to cause some major waves when the dark anime franchise comes back to the small screen.
