The official Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (Dan Machi) X (formerly Twitter) announced that light novels: Volume 21, Sword Oratoria Volume 16, and Familia Chronicle: Episode Asfi will all be released in October 2025. A new look at Familia Chronicles: Episode Asfiwritten by series creator Fujino Omori with support from Fumikaru Nishijima.
Volume 21 and Sword Oratoria V16 will get special editions featuring short stories written by Omori. The mystery behind Hestia’s blue string has a new short story available here. It was also revealed that the Dan Machi series as a whole had surpassed 20 million copies in circulation — the first series to do so in GA Bunko’s (imprint) history. Following the triple release announcement, Omori said, “In October, Volume 21 of the main story, Volume 16 of Oratoria, and Chronicle: Asfi will be published simultaneously! They will not be published consecutively, but simultaneously! I might be sent back to heaven, but I will do it!!! It’s Hero’s Day, so it can’t be helped!!! Thank you for your support!!!” It was also announced that the first volume of Dan Machi was released as an audiobook on Amazon’s Audible, with later volumes to come. Daisuke Kasuya will narrate. A Sword Oratoria adaptation is also in the works.
Yen Press has licensed the light novel and manga series in North America. You can stream all five seasons of the mainline Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? anime on HIDIVE, as well as the spinoff anime series Sword Oratoria. Dan Machi author Fujino Omori revealed that the main series would enter its last arc with Volume 21. HIDIVE describes the anime:
