On the X-account of the anime adaptation of “A Couple of Cuckoos” (Japanese: “Kakkoou no iinzuke”), it was announced today that the second season will be broadcast on Japanese television from July 8, 2025. You can find a new trailer below.
Opening presented
The second season of “A Couple of Cuckoos” is created under the direction of Masakazu Hishida (“My Instant Death Ability Is Overpowered”), who also writes the script, in the studio overuruto Noboru. Kyouko Kon creates the character design.
The opening song “Kimi Ga Kureta Mono” comes from the Japanese singer Asmi (opening of “Food for the Soul”), while the ending song “Anata de Nakucha” is contributed by the Idol Group 22/7. Crunchyroll shows the sequel to the Simulcast.
The 24-part first season of “A Couple of Cuckoos”, which ran in Japan from April to October 2022, was produced in the Studios Shin-ei animation and Synergysp and can already be streamed in this country at Crunchyroll. The publisher also brought the Romance Comedy series on Blu-ray.

Nagi Umino learns at the age of 16 that he was swapped at birth. On the way to his biological parents, he meets Erika Amano, an influencer who persuades him to play her friend to avoid an arranged marriage.
Shortly afterwards, both discover that they were not only exchanged, but also engaged by their parents. While they are forced to live together, a chaotic network of feelings, family gangs and romantic complications develops.
