The Japanese video game developer Kojima Productions today confirmed as part of an event for the 10th anniversary of the company that an anime film on »Death Stranding« is in the works. There is a first teaser below.
Film with original story
The anime film project is wearing the working title “Death Beaching Mosquito” and is supposed to tell an original story that plays in the world of “Death Stranding”. A start date is still pending.
The ABC Animation Studio is responsible for the production, in which Hiroshi Miyamoto (“Precure Dream Stars!”) The position of the director and Aaron Guzikowski (“Raized by Wolves”) wrote the screenplay.
As early as December 2022, a first film project was announced that Alex Lebovici and franchise creator Hideo Kojima implemented in the Hammerstone Studios. When this will be published is not yet known.
“Death Stranding” is an open world game that was first published in November 2019 for PlayStation 4. In the meantime, this is also available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | s.
