
On the official X account of the anime adaptation of “Detective Conan”, it was announced today that it will soon receive a new TV special in which a history is told. You can find a first visual below.
Premiere in January 2026
The approximately one-hour TV special bears the title “Detective Conan Episode Zero: Shinichi Kudo Aquarium Incident” (Japanese: “Zero: Kudou Shinichi Suizokan Jihen”) and celebrates its premiere after current planning in January 2026.
As with the associated series, the Studio TMS Entertainment is responsible for production. In terms of content, the special episode is located shortly before Shinichi’s transformation in Conan and therefore before the first anime episode.
“Detective Conan” has been running on Japanese television since 1996 and now has over 1100 episodes. The German VoD and DISC release takes place through the publisher crunchyroll. The 29th canvas offshoot starts in Japan in the spring of 2026.
