Thankfully, both of these new anime are going to hit for completely different demographics and topics.

Disney+ Has Cool New Anime Launching This October

Disney+

On Wednesday, October 29th, all episodes of Star Wars: Visions will be making their debut with Disney+. The anime anthology has been running for two seasons of episodes thus far, and with them have been showcasing all kinds of different kinds of stories from the wider Star Wars universe. With new shorts from prominent anime studios like David Production, Kamikaze Douga, TRIGGER, Production I.G., ANIMA (in a co-production with Kamikaze Douga), Kinema citrus Co., Project Studio Q, Polygon Pictures, and WIT Studio, fans are about to get a whole new take on what had been seen before.

As for what to expect from the newest season of Star Wars: Visions, it has been revealed that there will actually be a couple of shorts this time that will serve as sequels to popular ones from past seasons such as “The Duel: Payback,” which will be a sequel to “The Duel.” This sequel will feature Takanobu Mizuno returning as director and Takashi Okazaki as character designer. “The Lost Ones” will be a sequel to “Village Bride,” and features returning director Hitoshi Haga. “The Ninth Jedi” will also getting its own sequel with the short, “The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope.”

What to Know for Disney Twisted Wonderland

Disney

Also making its debut with Disney+ on October 29th is Disney Twisted Wonderland, which will be streaming its new episodes on a weekly basis. It’s a new anime adapting a massively popular mobile game of the same name that is set in a school inspired by various Disney film villains (with some getting full anime boy makeovers to boot). Disney teases what to expect from the anime as such, “High school student Yu is suddenly transported to Twisted-Wonderland, a world of magic and wonder. Now, he must face monsters, whimsical magicians-in-training, and mysterious incidents, all without any magic of his own. Will Yu ever find a way back to his own world?”

Disney Twisted Wonderland will also be running for three seasons in total with this first season tackling the “Episode of Heartslabyul” arc. The series will then continue with “Episode of Savanaclaw” in Season 2, and follow it up with “Episode of Octavinelle” with Season 3. There’s quite a lot planned for this one, so fans are going to want to tune into it as soon as it hits.
