Disney’s famous villains are getting a new anime makeover with a new series coming this Fall, and Disney+ has dropped a whole new look at Disney Twisted-Wonderland the Animation with a new trailer. The Fall 2025 anime schedule is now underway as anime fans are going to get to check out a whole new wave of shows making their debut over the next few weeks. That means there are going to be a lot of projects hoping to get your attention, and Disney+ will be offering some pretty fun exclusives through the Fall that fans will want to check out next.

Disney+ will be offering some new anime releases this month as part of the Fall 2025 anime schedule, and one of them will be showcasing a whole new look at Disney’s roster of classic villains. Taking on a popular mobile game of the same name, Disney Twisted-Wonderland the Animation is planning to launch with a massive plan for the future with three seasons already announced. To get a new look at just what this new anime is going to bring to screens, you can check out the new anime below.

What to Know for Disney Twisted-Wonderland

Disney Twisted-Wonderland the Animation will be making its debut with Disney+ on October 29th, and will be running for eight episodes. The first season of the anime will be adapting the “Episode of Heartslabyul” arc from the original mobile game before continuing with “Episode of Savanaclaw” in Season 2, and “Episode of Octavinelle” with Season 3. Shin Katagai will be directing the anime for Yumeta Company and Graphinica with Takahiro Natori serving as chief director and overseeing the scripts. Yoichi Kato is credited as the writer while Hanaka Nakano and Akane Sato are providing the character designs.

The main voice cast for Disney Twisted-Wonderland the Animation includes Yohei Azakami as Yuken Enma, Natsuki Hanae as Riddle Rosehearts, Seiichiro Yamashita as Ace Trappola, Chiaki Kobayashi as Deuce Space, Ryota Suzuki as Trey Clover, Tatsuyuki Kobyashi as Cater Diamond, Mitsuru Miyamoto as Dire Crowley, and Noriaki Sugiyama as Grim. As showcased by this trailer, Disney’s villains play a core part in the form of the main magical school themselves and will likely tie further into the magical powers we’re going to see in action in the coming episodes.

This Will Be Disney’s Twisted Take on Isekai

Disney

The Isekai subgenre has become one of the most popular storytelling formats with anime in the last few years, and Disney Twisted-Wonderland the Animation is going to be Disney’s take on the idea. It starts when its main protagonist, Yuken, is suddenly brought to a magical world through the power of a magic mirror, and soon finds himself in a school with magical students all organized into different categories inspired by Disney’s roster of notable villains through the decades.

The trailer shows off the first of these schools getting a focus, Heartslaybul, which is inspired by Alice in Wonderland‘s Queen of Hearts. But in its place is a brand new anime antagonist who is clearly ruling over the other students in the same kind of matter. Once Yuken deals with this, we’ll start to see new seasons from other schools tapping into The Lion King, Hercules, Aladdin and many other Disney classics and their evil villains.
