At this year’s US Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, “Dragon Ball Daima” has been found for the first time in many decades. We summarize the details below.
Only second anime nomination
The popular kids’ Choice Awards by the children’s channel Nickelodeon have already had a long history and were first awarded in 1987. In different categories, TV programs and films that are mainly made for children and adolescents, as well as stars and music are awarded.
In the “Favorite Cartoon” category, “Dragon Ball Daima” has only been nominated for the second time in all these years. The first nomination has been back for over two decades and dates from 2000, where “Pokémon” unfortunately had to give up at the award ceremony.
Now another anime has the chance to win this price again – although it is questionable whether one really wants to preserve the award of the “Favorite Cartoons” as an anime, especially since the creators of “Dragon Ball Daima” recently positioned themselves that the anime is not only aimed at young fans.
Strong competition
The award ceremony will take place on June 21, 2025, where “Dragon Ball Daima” then has to prevail against the other nominated titles “Monster High”, “Welcome to the Louds”, “The Simpsons”, “Teen Titans Go!” And of course the continuous burner “Spongebob Schwammkopf” (21 victories). You can find the voting here.
The German branch of Nickelodeon only broadcasts the show a few days later, on June 25, 2025 at 4:45 p.m. – but then with a German -language comment. There are repetitions on the following days.
In the meantime, the broadcast of “Dragon Ball Daima” has ended on Japanese television and a sequel has not yet been announced. But that this is far from the end of Son Goku and Co. has long been confirmed.
