A current interview with editor Yuu Kondo indicates that there could eventually exist a reboot of the complete “Dragon Ball” saga. We summarize.

Could a reboot come?

The corresponding statements fell in the Japanese Podcast series Kosokoso, which is moderated by Kazuhiko Torishima, the first editor of “Dragon Ball”. A few weeks ago, several editors were guests who were in close cooperation with “Dragon Ball” creator Akira Toriyama.

Among the invited guests were also Fuyuto Takeda and Yuu Kondo, the last two manga editors before Toriyama’s death, who praised the extremely reserved and friendly way of mangaka in the course of the conversation.

Because even if his passion was not as strong in the end as before, he kept continued and accepted new suggestions, especially because he was incredibly grateful to those involved around him.

For this reason, Kondo is also convinced that an anime reboot of the entire series will be pretty safe and that the series will continue despite the loss of Toriyama-and that as “The true new” Dragon Ball “”.

A few months ago, Animator veteran Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, who has been involved in production since the start of “Dragon Ball” in 1986, made a similar assessment and described a remake as “probably”.
