Broly has come a long way in a short amount of time since first making his debut in Dragon Ball Supergoing from a rampaging juggernaut to a soft-spoken Saiyan warrior. Debuting with a new origin story in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the former villain has been cozying up to Goku and the Z-Fighters in the events following his introduction. While the main anime series and manga remain missing in action, Broly has made a comeback thanks to the video game Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. In the next DLC for the popular digital entry, Goku is teaching Broly a new move that might change the character forever.
The new DLC arriving on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2“Future Saga Chapter 3,” will bring Broly and Cheelai into the Time Patrol, with the pair seemingly having some wild confrontations as a result. The Legendary Super Saiyan will apparently attempt to make amends with Frieza, facing off against a Saibaman, and being a part of some time-traveling hijinks along the way. Featured as a part of a collage of images, there is one scene in particular that might throw shonen fans for a loop as Son Goku appears to try to teach both Broly and Cheelai how to perform a Kamehameha all their own. While the Xenoverse saga isn’t typically considered “canon,” this might allow players to pull off some wild moves should they choose Broly as their fighter.
Broly The Hero

The next chapter of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will arrive on game platforms one day before Halloween on October 30th next month. Here’s how Bandai Namco describes the upcoming DLC: “A strange twist of fate brings Cheelai and Broly to Conton City! Ready to live the Time Patroller life by their side? Watch the latest Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 trailer for a peek at what to expect with the upcoming Future Saga Chapter 3 DLC. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s Future Saga Chapter 3 DLC will be available on PlayStation 5 (PS5), PlayStation 4 (PS4), Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Steam.”
As for when Broly will officially return in the main Dragon Ball Super series, that question remains unanswered. The last time we saw the Legendary Super Saiyan was in the final manga chapters created by Akira Toriyama and artist Toyotaro, in which Broly tested out his skills against Gohan’s new Beast form. Shueisha has promised in the past that we haven’t seen the end of the Dragon Ball Super manga, but there has yet to be word on when we can expect a new chapter to land. Considering that Frieza is still out there with a transformation that makes him the strongest being in the universe, it will be interesting to see how Broly will stack up against the alien despot.
