Yoshiku Iwanami recently released an update to the production progress of the anime adaptation of “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run”-and also revealed its great ambitions. We summarize.

Emmy Award as a goal

Just a few months ago, the anime adaptation of “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run” was announced, but the sound recordings for the first episode have already been completed, as Sound Director Yoshiku Iwanami confirmed on his X-Account-and what it looks like, he pursues great goals:

»The sound work on the first episode has been completed – and it’s great! The sound concept is ›Dance with Steel Ball Run‹. It is a danceable soundtrack! I want an Emmy for the best tone. What do I have to do for that? Lol. “

“Steel Ball Run” is the seventh part of the original “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure” manga by Hirohiko Araki, which was released from 2004 to 2011 in the “Weekly Shonen Jump” magazine and in 24 volumes by Shueisha.

The streaming service Netflix already provides all five seasons of the action series in which the first six parts were adapted. Crunchyroll and ADN currently have the first four seasons (up to Part 5).

When the sixth season starts on Japanese television is not yet known. Further details are to be revealed on September 23, 2025 in a live stream. We keep you up to date as usual.
