New digital single “So Nice” to be released May 6
Boy group Epex is set to release a new collaboration track.
On May 6, the eight-member boy group will release a digital single, “So Nice,” created in collaboration with American synth-pop duo joan. A teaser video and poster were unveiled on the group’s official social media and YouTube channel, where joan is seen playing guitar and drums, radiating vibrant and energetic vibes.
The American duo joan has established itself as a strong presence in the retro synth-pop scene and has gained a following in Korea with its stylish and emotive tracks like “So Good” and “Flowers.” Epex’s member Yewang covered joan’s “So Good,” which drew an enthusiastic reponse from fans.
Joan is one of the most beloved foreign artists among K-pop artists. BTS’ Jungkook, Cravity’s Serim, Riize’s Seongchan, N.Flying’s Jaehyun and One Pact’s Seongmin have all mentioned or recommended joan’s music via their social media and fan communication platforms.
In 2023, Epex made waves with collaborative track “Peppermint Yum” with Japanese boy group Fantastics from Exile Tribe, topping the Oricon Daily Album Chart and Billboard Japan’s Weekly Chart. The track gained further attention as the theme song for D.League, Japan’s largest professional dance competition.
With their upcoming collaboration, fans are eager to see what kind of music Epex and joan will bring to the table.
Meanwhile, Epex is currently on an Asia tour “Youth Deficiency,” having completed solo concerts in Seoul and Japan. The group will continue the tour in Macao and Taiwan in May.
