
AMC Networks’ HIDIVE revealed that the Petals of Reincarnation anime adaptation is its newest co-production. The anime was announced on August 1, 2024 as part of the manga’s 10th anniversary celebration.

John Ledford, President of HIDIVE, commented:
“We’re thrilled to announce the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Petals of Reincarnation as HIDIVE’s newest co-production. Petals of Reincarnation has been beloved by readers for more than a decade and HIDIVE, together with the entire Production Committee, looks forward to bringing the manga series to life as a supernatural action anime!”
Back when the anime was announced, a teaser trailer was also revealed.
The Petals of Reincarnation (Rinkaneshon no Kaban) manga is written and drawn by Mikihisa Konishi. It began serialization in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine in July 2014, while it transferred to the publisher’s Comic Blade website in September of the same year. There are 21 published volumes, over 3 million copies in circulation. Mangamo licensed the manga in English, describing the story:
Toya Senji is talentless. He”s tried everything but he can”t seem to excel at anything no matter how hard he tries. Then he meets Haito, a Kendo champion and… humanity”s protector? She uses the Stem of Reincarnation to draw on the abilities of her past lives, but it only works when she slits her own throat. And now she wants Toya to join her?!
