The Summer 2025 anime schedule is now going to be rounding out its final few episodes through the rest of the coming month, so it’s time to look ahead to what is likely going to be the biggest season of the year thus far. This year has been a very strong year for anime with at least one or two major standouts each season, and that’s going to be the case with what is coming to screens this Fall as well. But more so than many of the other seasons this year, the Fall 2025 schedule has the highest profile projects yet.
The Fall 2025 anime schedule is continuing to shape up its schedule of new releases, and things are still being finalized in terms of what’s going to be offered. But from what has been revealed thus far, there are plenty of not only returning blockbuster franchises, but there are all sorts of new shows that are going to have intriguing premieres of their own as well. This means that even in a year of impressive Winter, Spring, and Summer schedules, Fall 2025 is looking to be the best yet.
Major Anime Returns Coming in Fall 2025

The Fall 2025 anime schedule officially kicks in this October, and there are already some major returns fans will want to keep an eye on. My Hero Academia will be returning for the eighth and final season of its TV anime franchise, so it’s likely going to be the one that gets the most attention. It’s for good reason as it will be ending the war between the heroes and villains once and for all, so it’s likely going to go out for a bang. Another returning action hit is One-Punch Man, which is finally coming back for Season 3 years after a divisive second season.
One-Punch Man will be continuing the fights against the Monster Association, and will even feature some brand new story elements as teased by the original creator when it premieres. Another franchise returning for Season 3 is Spy x Familywhich will be kicking off with a major arc for Anya Forger after seeing Yor get her own focused story in the second season. But other notable returns include the likes of Ranma 1/2 as the reboot returns for Season 2, To Your Eternity returning for Season 3, Let This Grieving Soul Retire also returning for Season 2, Tales of Wedding Rings returning for Season 2, Kingdom returning for Season 6 and more.
New Anime Premiering This Fall 2025

While there are going to be some big returns, there are also a lot of new franchises getting adapted from notable manga and light novel releases. Beastars creator Paru Itagaki has already gotten a lot of attention from anime fans with that series, but this Fall will see another of their works getting its own debut. Sanda sees a boy transform into a muscular fighting Santa Claus, and it’s about as wild as you’d think. Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama is returning with a new school based spinoff anime series, so fans will want to keep an eye out for that one.
Other notable new releases at first glance include more Isekai anime premieres such as My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s, A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai, My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I’m Out for Revenge! and more, but there are even more usual Fantasy hits outside of Isekai that are garnering attention too like With You, Our Love Will Make It Through, The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest, The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King, May I Ask for One Final Thing? and more.
Regardless, there looks to be something for everyone this Fall and anime fans are really going to want to get their lists ready for even more anime that could be the best of the year. Fall’s looking strong so far, so let’s hope it’s able to meet that mark in a few more weeks.
