Family Guy is coming back to Hulu this October with a brand new Halloween special, and now the first trailer has been released showing off what to expect. Family Guy might not be coming back in full with a new season with Fox until next year, but thankfully there are still going to be brand new releases to enjoy through the rest of the year anyway. This includes two new holiday specials streaming exclusively with Hulu, and much like last year, both of these specials will be taking on Halloween and Christmas. And this next adventure looks appropriately spooky already.
Family Guy has dropped the first trailer for its new Halloween special for the year, and it’s going all out with the scope of what to expect. While the special from last year had some big guest stars (and even brought Rupert to life), this time around seems to be a Halloween based adventure for the entire cast. That’s a big change from the Stewie adventure seen last year, and you can check out even more with the trailer in the video below.
What to Know for Family Guy Halloween Special 2025
Titled “A Little Fight Music,” Family Guy‘s new Halloween special will be releasing with Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on October 6th. Hulu teases what to expect from the new special with, “Brian and Stewie realize there is a shortage of quality Halloween songs, so they set out to write a hit, and Peter and the guys discover that lying about trick or treating can have deadly consequences.” And that can be seen with the trailer that shows off both of those stories, with one of them unleashing a group of Ghostface like killers on the town as they wield chainsaws.
This is the first of two new holiday specials that Family Guy will be releasing exclusively with Hulu. Details for the second special have yet to be fully revealed, but it has been previously announced to be a Christmas focused special that will likely be releasing much closer to December. To find these specials with Hulu when they premiere, they are under the “Exclusives” tab under the series and not slotted into one of the standard seasons. It’s also where you can find the two holiday specials that were released last year.
When Does Family Guy Season 24 Come Out?

Family Guy has a bright future ahead of it as Season 24 of the long running animated series is scheduled for a release sometime in 2026. It was also recently renewed together with Fox’s major adult animated franchises like The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers for four more seasons each. Family Guy will likely be airing during Fox’s midseason schedule as it will be making its premiere alongside the returning American Dad! following its shift over from TBS (as it has also been picked up by Fox for another four seasons).
The other shift in Family Guy’s schedule likely means that seasons will be much shorter than seen in seasons past, and we’ve already seen that adjustment with the most recently debuted Season 23. But it looks like that even with this shorter episode order for each season, Family Guy is making it up with new exclusive specials coming to Hulu instead. It’s just a matter of figuring out whether or not that’s going to work out in the long run.
