Even though the first part of the “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” series is still just behind “Mugen Train” in Japan, the film continues its incredible success on the international stage. We summarize below.

New record in the USA

After 88 days of running, the film already has 25.11 million cinemagoers in Japan and has grossed 36.41 billion yen (around 207 million euros). This means that the first “Infinity Castle” part is only 4.34 billion yen short of achieving the result of “Mugen Train” and becoming the most successful film in Japan.

So while the big goal in Japan is still to come, the film is setting new standards, especially internationally, and is further expanding its lead as the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time.

With total box office revenue estimated at $648.5 million (around 557.5 million euros), the start of the “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” trilogy is currently in fifth place among the world’s highest-grossing films of 2025.

In the United States alone, the franchise film has already grossed $129 million, making it not only the highest-grossing anime film there, but also the highest-grossing non-English-language international film of all time – a record held for 25 years by “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” (2000).

In this country, the evening filler has attracted more than a million viewers to cinemas since September 18, 2025 and grossed almost 13 million euros.
