First “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” film breaks next record

The first film of the »Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle« series continues its impressive record run and was able to record another record for himself a few days ago. We summarize the details.

30 billion yen in record time

After the first part of the “Infinity Castle” trilogy had already reached the brand of ten billion yen (eight days) and 20 billion yen (23 days) as the fastest film in Japanese cinema history, this leap now managed to record 30 billion yen-after only 46 days.

After 52 days now, according to the official X-Account from Toho Films, the evening filler can even have a box office result of a total of 31.42 billion yen (around 182 million euros) on more than 22 million tickets sold.

With these figures, »Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle« is currently the third place of the most successful movies of all time in Japan, behind »Chihiro’s trip to the Magic Land« (31.68 billion yen) and »Demon Slayer: Mugen Train« (40.43 billion yen).

In Germany, the first »Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle« film starts on September 18, 2025 with German and Japanese voice output in the cinema.
