A product entry at the online retailer Amazon announced that the publisher poly band Anime will publish the first season of »Mushi-Shi« in a complete box. We summarize the details for you below.
Complete box in October 2025
The limited full box from »Mushi-Shi« is expected to appear on October 30, 2025 as DVD and Blu-ray. This consists of all four volumes that have already been available, a collective slip, 98 minutes of bonus material, a 100-page accompanying book, a poster and several art cards. A pre -order is already possible.
The Studio Artland was responsible for the production of the 26-part first season, which ran on Japanese television from October 2005 to June 2006, in which Hiroshi Nagahama (“Detroit Metal City”) directed. In the spring season in 2014, a 20-part second season with the title »Mushi-Shi: The Next Passage« followed.
The anime is based on the original manga series of the same name by Yuki Urushibara, which was published in Japan from November 1999 to August 2008. The work is available by manga cult with German translation.
