A first trailer was published on the official website of the new original film “Scarlet” (Japanese: “Habeshi Naki Scarlet”). You can find the video below.
Heavy start in November 2025
“Scarlet” is produced under the direction of “Belle” director Mamoru Hosoda (“The Young and the Beast”), who also wrote the original story and the script, in Studio Chizu (“Ame & Yuki-The Wolfskinder”).
In the main roles of the Japanese speaker cast, Mana Ashida (Ookami-Sama in “Lonely Castle in the Mirror”) can be heard as Scarlet and Masaki Okada as Hijiri. The premiere will take place on November 21, 2025 in the Japanese cinemas.
Sony Pictures takes over sales outside of Japan and will take the film to the cinema in the USA from December 12, 2025. It is still unclear whether there will also be publication in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
