G-Dragon’s Agency Galaxy Corp. Targets India Market as Part of Global Expansion Strategy
Seoul-based entertainment technology company Galaxy Corp., known for its AI-driven content and
for managing global K-pop icon G-Dragon, is preparing to enter the Indian market.
While an official launch date has not yet been confirmed, the move would position Galaxy Corp. as the
second major Korean entertainment company to establish a presence in India following Hybe.
Galaxy Corp. has already expanded its international footprint with branches in Japan, the United States, and Hong Kong.
In addition, the company operates in Singapore through a non-legal representative office. According to industry sources,
the firm is now actively researching the Indian market while simultaneously preparing the groundwork to formally establish
a local subsidiary.
“Galaxy Corp.’s business division is conducting extensive market research on India and working toward building a local corporate entity.
Last year, G-Dragon’s management team also explored potential concert demand and performance logistics in various Indian cities,”
a source told local media.
If the expansion moves forward, Galaxy Corp. will become the second Korean agency to make a strong physical entry into India
after Hybe India launched its Mumbai branch in September. With China’s tightening restrictions on Korean entertainment,
major K-pop companies have increasingly turned toward India as a strategic alternative due to its enormous population and rapidly
growing entertainment consumption.

Experts believe this expansion is part of Galaxy Corp.’s broader strategy to strengthen its global value ahead of a potential
initial public offering (IPO). While no fixed timeline has been announced, reports suggest the company is aiming
for an early next-year listing as it continues to demonstrate international growth potential.
Beyond G-Dragon, Galaxy Corp. has been rapidly expanding its talent portfolio. In recent months, it signed acclaimed actor
Song Kang-ho and popular TV personality Kim Jong-kook, signaling its ambition to become a
diversified entertainment powerhouse rather than focusing solely on idol management.
India’s rise as a new frontier for K-pop entertainment has been increasingly evident. With more concert tours, fan communities,
and streaming growth coming from the region, Galaxy Corp.’s entry could significantly reshape K-pop’s involvement in the
South Asian market.
