We reached out to Musixmatch, the lyrics provider connected to Google’s lyrics feature. A representative confirmed that the line in their official translation is, “B*stard, yeah you, with no exceptions,” and stated that the offensive term does not appear in their data.

The issue has not yet circulated widely online, but it comes amid heightened sensitivity around cultural appropriation and racism in kpop. Recent examples include a leaked pre-debut video of BLACKPINK where the N-word was allegedly sung, and a KISS OF LIFE livestream criticized for mocking Black culture.
As of the time of writing, Google has yet to respond or correct the error.
