I-DLE released their 8th mini album “We are” on May 19 and resumed their activities after 10 months. Since then, they have continued their various activities, including music broadcasts, radio, entertainment and YouTube content, as well as college festivals and the stage of “ASEA 2025.”
“We are” is the first full album to be released after renewing the contract with Cube Entertainment and the first song to be released under a new group name. Shortly after its release, it topped the daily chart and weekly chart of China’s Cougou Music digital album, and became a million seller for the fourth consecutive time, recording 1,0633,526 copies (the number of albums sold for a week as of the release date).
I-DLE proved their popularity once again, breaking the initial record of K-pop girl group albums released this year.
The title song “Good Thing” challenge also sparked an explosive response. In particular, on the global short-form video platform “TikTok,” “Miyeon Dance,” which drew attention through music videos, became a hot topic among overseas fans.
At the ‘ASEA 2025’ held at K Arena Yokohama in Yokohama, Yokohama, Japan on the 29th, the event marked the end of this activity.
In recognition of their achievements last year, I-DLEn won their first grand prize this year, receiving the “RECORD OF THE YEAR” award. In addition, they received the “THE PLATINUM” and the “Global K-POP LEADER” award, receiving a total of three awards.
Meanwhile, I-DLE will appear on the main stage of Japan’s largest music festival “SUMMER SONIC 2025,” which will be held in August, and will meet with local fans through a Japanese tour in October.
