According to the IZE report on the 30th, ILLIT is stepping up their work on their new album with the goal of making a comeback in mid-June. This album is more than a new one that will be released in about eight months since their second mini-album “I’LL LIKE YOU” released in October last year.
ILLIT made remarkable achievements upon its debut with its eccentric charm and addictive songs, making it one of the top 5th generation girl groups. With its debut title song “Magnetic,” it was listed on the U.S. Billboard main song chart “Hot 100” and the U.K.’s official “Single Top 100,” marking an unusual milestone for a rookie. ILLIT is the first K-pop debut song to simultaneously enter the world’s two main charts.

For a short time, ILLIT has swept the global rookie award and led the short-form trend centered on TikTok, expanding its fandom. In particular, it has accumulated achievements in Japan and other overseas markets. The theme song of the Japanese movie “I Don’t Like You Just by Your Face,” released in February, has also caused a craze for climbing major Japanese charts.
ILLIT, dubbed the “5th Generation Girl Group On Top,” foreshadows a stronger presence through the new album. Attention is focusing on how to expand the colorful charm and musical colors that have been attracting attention since their debut and on the next step of the ILLIT.
Meanwhile, ILLIT will hold its first fan concert 2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, on June 7-8, and will meet with fans. In August and September, it will also hold concerts in Yokohama and Osaka, Japan, to continue its global activities.
