Group ILLIT will make its official debut in Japan in September.

According to agency BeliftLab, the entire album of “Toki Yo Tomare,” Japan’s first single by ILLIT, will be released on Sept. 1. The physical album will be released on Sept. 3, two days later.

“Toki Yo Tomare” means “Stop Time,” and contains a sparkling moment of youth that does not want to end. The single contains a total of four songs, including two new songs, the Japanese version of “Do the Dance,” the title song of the mini 3rd album “Bomb”, and ILLIT’s first Japanese original song “Almond Chocolate,” which was released in February and caused a sensation in the local charts.

ILLIT’s unique girl-inspired release poster image attracts attention. Unique props such as magic sticks in drawers and watches decorated with ribbon straps stimulate the viewer’s imagination and arouse curiosity around the cute single logo.

ILLIT has been gaining popularity even before its official album was released in Japan. Their debut song and global hit “Magnetic” was also a long-term hit in Japan and swept various annual charts last year. Based on these achievements, ILLIT appeared at NHK’s “Milk and White Song Competition,” Japan’s representative year-end festival, and won the Rookie of the Year award as a K-pop girl group at the 66th Japan Record Awards for the first time in 13 years.

The growth curve is also steep. ILLIT’s third mini album “bomb,” which was released last month, surpassed the initial sales of its previous album in one day (the number of albums sold for a week immediately after its release) and topped major music charts in Japan. “Almond Chocolate,” which was released in February, surpassed 50 million cumulative hits on Oricon (July 7), setting the record for the largest streaming service among overseas female artists released in the first half of this year.

ILLIT will hold a fan concert “2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN” before and after its debut in Japan and meet with local fans. The performance will be held four times at the Pia Arena MM and Osaka Osaka Castle Hall in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, from August 10-11 and September 3-4, respectively. Earlier, ILLIT showed off its powerful ticket power by selling out tickets for all the general reserved seats.

Meanwhile, ILLIT, which is promoting its third mini album, “bomb,” is captivating K-pop fans with its trendy charm and sophisticated music. The title song, “Do the Dance,” soared to No. 31 (July 9) after entering Melon’s daily chart at No. 82 (June 16) through word of mouth on various music broadcasting stages. The follow-up song, “jellyous,” is receiving as much heat as the title song with its addictive sound and high-level performance.
