The DZ Bank Group has reported another departure of a well-known investment professional. Andreas Köster, Chief Investment Officer at the subsidiary Union Investment, disembarks. Union Investment announced on Thursday that he was doing this at his own request at the end of the year, “in order to devote himself to new areas of focus”.

Köster, who is also a managing director, joined Union Investment in 2021 as CIO Global Asset Allocation of UBS Global Wealth Management. Until a successor plan has been made, Köster’s duties will be performed by the other managing directors of Union Investment private funds after his departure.

Christian Kahler, the former chief investment strategist at DZ Bank, only left the group in the summer. Together with Jochen Kurz he founded his own investment company. Union Investment is an active asset manager within the cooperative financial group in Germany and most recently managed more than EUR 400 billion.
