The photo and the caption seemingly hinted at a new collaboration, which immediately caused a stir among fans. However, the Instagram post was deleted right away.
Fans who were quick to notice the post shared mixed reactions online. Some welcomed the idea of Danielle’s possible solo comeback announcement or new collaboration with another artist, while some were confused and questioned if she was even allowed to do such activities given the current situation with her agency, ADOR.
The now-deleted Instagram post comes after Emotional Oranges’ recently released album ‘Orenjii’. The album included collaborations with several world-class artists, including Kpop’s very own Jaehyun of NCT. The LA-based duo composed of Azad and Bali debuted in 2019 and have been known for their experimental and futuristic music. They have also appeared in various global festivals such as Lollapalooza and Coachella.
On the 21st, Emotional Oranges dismissed the speculations about Danielle’s possible activities through a post on Instagram. They posted a photo with a caption that says, guys, there’s no Dani collab…
Meanwhile, NewJeans is currently facing legal battles over the termination of their exclusive contracts with their agency, ADOR. However, the court accepted ADOR’s injunction request which prohibited the members from engaging in promotion activities and signing advertising contracts as a group. With this, the members stood their ground and said they were not going back to ADOR — a decision which caused them to halt all activities, both as NewJeans and NJZ.
