Lee Dam Entertainment, IU’s agency, said on the 15th that IU will release “Flower Bookmark 3” at 6 p.m. on May 27. The album will be released in about a year and three months since the sixth mini album “The Winning,” which was released in February last year.
“Flower Bookmark 3” is the third album in the series of “Flower Bookmarks,” a remake project that reinterprets masterpieces with IU’s own sensibility and lyrical voice.
The “Flower Bookmark” released in 2014 included seven songs. “Flower Bookmark Two” released in 2017 included a total of six songs, including Yang Hee-eun’s “Autumn Morning” and Kim Geon-mo’s “Sleepy Night Rain.” In particular, “Flower Bookmark” was released as a limited edition LP, sparking an unseasonable LP craze.

IU, who said she was willing to release “Flower Bookmarks Three” through YouTube channels, will continue her series of “Flower Bookmarks” for the first time in eight years. The track list of the album will be released later.
Instead, IU released a teaser video set in a pay phone booth next to a telephone pole. IU’s voice waiting to be contacted was included in the phone call that was transferred to the collect call.
A pay phone appears in the album cover image released together. In the faded film-like image, IU leans against an old pay phone and stares at the camera.
IU held a solo concert at the Sangam World Cup Stadium after the release of “The Winning” last year, becoming the first Korean female singer to enter the Sangam World Cup Stadium in Seoul.
She also opened an official fan community on the fan platform Beriz ahead of his birthday on the 16th. At 7 p.m. on the 16th, the day of his birthday, she will stream the first live concert film “IU Concert: The Golden Hour” on YouTube. IU is the first Korean female singer to perform at the Olympic Main Stadium in Jamsil Stadium in Seoul in September 2022.
