According to an Oricon article in Japan on the 5th, IVE’s third album in Japan, “Be Alright,” sold about 165,000 copies in the first week of its release, ranking first in the Oricon weekly album rankings (August 11th/counting period: July 28th to August 3rd).
This is a number that exceeds the first week of sales of Japan’s second album, “Alive,” and IVE broke its own sales volume in the first week of its release. They once again confirmed their unrivaled popularity in Japan, recording the highest number of album sales among overseas female artists this year by Oricon.
In addition to the title song of the same name, the new album “Be Alright” consists of a total of five songs, including the Japanese NTV drama “Dame Mane! – A talent who doesn’t sell, I’m managing!” OST “There Me,” and Japanese version of the song “Ascendio,” “Blue Heart” and “Wow” from the second studio album “I’ve Switch.”
The title song “Be Alright” is a song that conveys courage to move forward without being afraid of change, and has received enthusiastic responses from global music fans, such as entering Billboard Japan’s “Hot 100,” “Hot Shot Song,” and “Download Song” charts since its pre-release on the 16th of last month.
With this momentum, IVE is set to make its first appearance at the Rock in Japan Festival 2025 on September 15. Expectations are high on how those who showed impressive performances through “Summer Sonic 2024” last year will perform at the festival.
On the 25th, IVE will release its fourth mini-album “Ive Secret” and title song “XOXZ” in Korea and launch a comeback in Korea.
