On August 15, The Black Label released a choreography practice video for “CLOSER,” the title track of Jeon Somi’s second EP, “Chaotic & Confused.”
The video showed Jeon Somi and the dancers performing a perfect group dance as if they were on a real stage. Jeon Somi’s styling, which shows her comfortable yet hip charm by wearing a ball cap and hoodie, catches the eye.
In particular, the mood of the practice room reminiscent of the actual music broadcast stage, powerful performances, and the dance of Jeon Somi and dancers without any errors are combined to make you feel an unrivaled aura just with the choreography video.
The new song “CLOSER” samples Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girl” and creates it in the style of a stutter house. It sings beauty through a grand and sophisticated sound, enhancing the sense of immersion of the song along with a sensual mood, intense energy contrasting with a heightened atmosphere.
Shortly after its release on the 11th, “CLOSER” began cruising by ranking fourth on the Melon “HOT 100” chart, the largest music site in Korea, and even captured the hearts of Asian fans by ranking 10th on China’s largest music site QQ Music Trending Chart. The second EP, “Chaotic & Confused,” announced a fresh start on the global charts, ranking 3rd on the iTunes Top K-Pop Chart, 4th on Apple Music Top Albums South Korea, and 5th on the Apple Music Top Albums Chart.
