The wait is over at last, as Jujutsu Kaisen has finally revealed a trailer for Season 3, and fans could not be more excited. From seeing fan favorites like Yuta and Yuji again in the new trailer to finally having a confirmed release window to look forward to, there’s never been a more exciting time to be a fan of the series, as after months of silence, it feels like the franchise is back, stronger than ever before, and ready to remind fans of its overwhelming popularity.
That said, besides teasing the impending battle between Yuta and Yuji, Jujutsu Kaisen’s new Season 3 trailer also gives fans their first-ever glimpse at Maki’s new, post-Shibuya makeover. The latest trailer finally debuts Maki with her new short hair and scars from fighting Jogo, a look which has so far only been seen in the manga and hasn’t made its way to the anime. However, Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen will finally reveal Maki in all her “muscle mommy” glory and just in time for her new power-up.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s New Trailer Preview’s Maki’s Jacked New Look

When fans last saw Maki in Season 2, she, along with Naobito and Nanami, had been burnt to a crisp by Jogo after they’d defeated Dagon. While Season 2, Episode 19 saw Maki being rescued, her fate was left up in the air, and her survival was uncertain but now it’s clear that Maki will definitely be back in Season 3 and hotter and stronger than ever.
The new trailer includes many glimpses of Maki’s upcoming massacre at the Zenin Clan household, and besides the burn scars running up and down her entire body, she also appears to have put on a lot more muscle since fans last saw her. As for the fresh, Zoro-esque scar running down one of her eyes, fans will have to wait for Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen to release to see the phenomenal fight that ends up giving Maki that particular scar.
While Maki has always been quite powerful, Season 3 will take her to an all-new level by finally allowing her to draw out the full potential of her Heavenly Restriction, though fans may have to prepare for some heartbreak to see that happen. Nonetheless, Maki’s post-Shibuya look is easily her most popular design in all of Jujutsu Kaisenand the prospect of finally seeing it animated is beyond exciting. After all, female characters with actual muscle definition are quite a rare sight in shonen media, and honestly, we need more.
Jujustu kaisen can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
