Just a few weeks ago, we reported that Netflix has chosen his surprise hit “KPOP Demon Hunters” with around 132.4 million (as of July 27, 2025) as the most looked original animated film, but these numbers have long been a thing of the past.
In the meantime, the calls have already risen to around 236 million (as of August 26, 2025), which makes the approximately 80-minute evening filler the most successful Netflix film ever.
So far, “Red Notice” has kept this record with 230.9 million. “KPOP Demon Hunters” could even increase the distance, since only the first 91 days are decisive for the ranking – on September 19, 2025 as a key date.
Not only the film causes a sensation – the main song entitled “Golden” is still on the road to success. Since his publication on June 20, 2025, he has been climbing the top of the German charts for the third time. In addition, the song was officially appointed German summer hit in 2025.
No wonder that Netflix already has big plans for “KPOP Demon Hunters” and think about two sequels, a live action remake and a stage musical. However, these projects are still not yet officially confirmed.
