By opening an official website, a new anthology project entitled “Light Novel Anime” was announced, which will consist of four new original anime of well-known authors. We summarize.
Four anime short films
Tappei Nagatsuki (“Re: Zero”), Ngozyu (“The Detective is Already Dead”), Natsu Hyūga (“Apothecary Diaries”) and Shōko Amano (“Yorozu Uranai Docoro”) are involved in the project.
From July 12, 2025, the four anime short films will be broadcast on a regular version on Japanese television. In addition, these are subdivided into several parts and now published daily as vertical YouTube shorts.

»Femme Fatale Raising Project«
»Femme Fatale Raising Project« (Jap.: “Femme Fatale Ikusei Keikaku”) is based on an idea of Natsu Hyūga (“The Apothecary Diaries”) and is produced under the direction of Masayuki Kitamura and Kazuya Shiraishi in Studio Zine. Ougyo Kawagishi wrote the script while Kamoku Okeno creates the character design.

With the help of his friends he begins a radical transformation: diet, training and styling should make him a real femme fatal – everything to avenge Tsukino’s lovesickness.
»Heartbreak Time Leap«
»Heartbreak Time Leap« (Jap.: “Shushin Time Leap”) is based on an idea of Ngozyu (“The Detective is Already Dead”), who also writes the script together with Fumiaki Maruto (original author of “Saekano”). Tomoyasu Murata takes over the position of the director in the Studio Zine.

Action:
At her last school festival, Miri confesses her feelings to her classmate Takashi, but is rejected. She is desperately clinging to an old diary that puts her back in the past for six months.
Miri uses this and other time leaps to change their future and find out the real reason for Takashi’s rejection.
»Jack the Reaper« is based on an idea of ”Re: Zero” author Tappei Nagatsuki and is being created under the direction of Daisuke Nakano in the Studio Zine. Usagi Usaki contributes the script and Minori Chigusa (»convenient semi-Friend«).
A man wakes up in a interrogation room, without any memory of his identity or the reason for his presence. A young detective begins to interrogate him. When she leaves the room frustrated, someone penetrates and stabs the man.
