The chaos around the “Pokémon” collaboration has ensured that McDonald’s Japan has canceled the upcoming “One Piece” campaign. We summarize.

Consequences according to scandal

We recently reported that McDonald’s Japan had to end his “Happy Meal” collaboration prematurely with “Pokémon”, because this did not bring the fast food chain as hoped for radiant faces, but rather caused overflowing branches and allegations of food waste.

The numerous resellers who absolutely wanted to get the limited »Pokémon« collecting cards in high quantities in their hands were responsible for this-and even caused even greater damage with their behavior.

As McDonald’s Japan now announced, the “One Piece Card Game” campaign planned for the end of August will be postponed until further notice in order to revise the internal guidelines regarding card games based.

Here, too, there should have been limited collection cards for every “Happy Meal” order, but those responsible have feared at least the same chaos in the upcoming collaboration with “One Piece” and therefore pulled the ripcord in time to regret the reasonable fans.
