The Japanese company KADOKAWA announced today that the light novel series “Killed Again, Mr. Detective?” (Japanese: “Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama”) is getting an anime adaptation as a TV series. We summarize.

“Killed Again, Mr. Detective?” is directed by Takashi Naoya (“Tales of Wedding Rings”) at the LIDEN FILMS studio. Mio Inoue (“My Awkward Senpai”) is writing the script, while Akiko Kumada is doing the character design. It is expected to start broadcasting on Japanese television in April 2026.
The original light novel of the same name was written by Teniwoha and has been published in Japan since August 2021 with illustrations by Riichu. KADOKAWA has so far released five volumes under the “MF Bunko J” label.
A manga adaptation by Inaba debuted on the “Dra Dra Flat” website in July 2022. The work, which is currently in two parts, is available with an English translation from Yen Press. A German-language print release has not yet been announced.
