The streaming service Netflix announced today that the license on the live action film on “Cells at Work!” We summarize.
Available from June 2025
The real adaptation of »Cells at Work!« Is therefore available from June 13, 2025 in the Japanese original sound with German subtitles at Netflix. It is currently still unclear whether a German language version is also offered.
The adaptation of the original manga series of the same name by Akane Shimizu was produced under the direction of Hideki Takeuchi (“Thermae Romae” live action adaptation) and celebrated its premiere on November 7, 2024 in Japan.
The work also inspired an anime series that was seen in two seasons on Japanese television between July 2018 and February 2021. A disc release from the first season was carried out by Peppermint Anime.
