The streaming service Netflix announced today that the rights to the upcoming “Lady Oscar” film will have been secured and will publish it worldwide on call. There is a new OMU trailer below.

The new strip is entitled “The Rose of Versailles” and is available from April 30, 2025 with German synchronization and in the Japanese original sound with German subtitles on Netflix. There is a foretaste of the German version in the synchro trailer, which can be found exclusively on Netflix.
The Mappa studio was responsible for the production of the evening filler, in which Ai Yoshimura (“Kabukicho Sherlock”) took over the position of the director. The Japanese cinema premiere took place on January 31, 2025.
The 40-part first anime adaptation based on the original manga of Riyoko Ikeda was created in the Studio Tokyo Movie Shinsha and ran in Japan from October 1979 to September 1980. A disc release was carried out by KSM Anime.
