It’s been five whole months since Solo Leveling’s second season dropped its final episode, and much to the disappointment and frustration of fans, the series’ producers have yet to officially announce Season 3. That said, while fans wait for the next installment of the anime, it seems like Netflix has the perfect plan to keep fans content and ever-excited with its upcoming live-action adaptation of Solo Leveling. And, in an exciting new update, the live-action just cast the perfect actress to play the series’ female lead, Cha Hae-in.
From the rumors circulating since January to Netflix finally officially announcing the adaptation this July, Solo Leveling’s live-action adaptation seems to be coming along very smoothly. It hasn’t been too long since Netflix revealed that Byeon Woo-seok was cast as Jinwoo, and now, the series finally has its live-action Hae-in to join him. According to an exclusive report in the South Korean news vertical Sports Kyunghyang, the Nevertheless and Gyeongseong Creature star Han So-Hee has been cast as Cha Hae-in, one of South Korea’s S-rank hunters in Solo Leveling and Jinwoo’s main love interest, and she could not have been more perfect for the role.
Netflix Casts Han So-hee as Cha Ha-in in Solo Leveling’s Live-Action

As far as Netflix’s live-action adaptations go, they can be quite a mixed bag, with exceptional ones like One Piece as well as controversial ones like BETthe recent Kakegurui-inspired adaptation. Having said that, the Solo Leveling live-action does already seem quite promising, having nailed the casting for both Jinwoo and now Hae-in as well. Much like with Jinwoo’s casting, Han So-hee fits the bill perfectly in terms of her physical resemblance to Hae-in.
In fact, between Byeon Woo-seok’s charming good looks and So-hee often being regarded as one of the most beautiful actresses in the Korean acting industry, the two make for nothing short of a dream pairing. Furthermore, So-hee also possesses quite an impressive acting portfolio, having starred in many beloved K-dramas such as Nevertheless, Gyeongseong Creature, 100 Days My Prince, The World of the Marriedand many more, which are a testament to her phenomenal acting. Now all that remains is to see who Netflix casts for the rest of the main roles, such as Yoo Jinho, Lee Joo-hee, as well as other fan-favorite hunters like Baek Yoonho, Choi Jong-in, and Woo Jinchul, though it seems like Solo Leveling’s live action is in safe hands for now.
