Although the announcement of a third season of “Solo Leveling” is still pending, Netmarble has put a considerable sum into the production committee of the series – and thus ensured speculation. We summarize.
Netmarble invests in anime
A few days ago, South Korean media reported that video game developer Netmarble has invested around 2 billion, which-the equivalent of around 1.23 million euros-invested in the production committee of the “Solo Leveling” anime.
The company, which comes from South Korea, has long been not a blank sheet: since the first season it has been part of the production committee and has also published the successful action RPG “Solo Leveling: Arise”.
Due to the current investment, Netmarble now keeps 20 % of the shares in the anime adaptation and at the same time provided the series production team with considerable financial support.
This also fed the rumors about a possible third season, which, despite the great success of the second season, was still not announced.
Fans hope for season 3
At least the participation of Netmarble could aim to ensure the continuation of the anime – a step that holds up the international interest in the franchise and at the same time benefits the young video game.
In any case, the fans are confident that the potential sequel would now be equipped with a significantly larger budget than the two previous relays – and the long silence could also indicate intensive preparations for a high quality implementation.
We may soon find out more, after all, on September 13, 2025, the Anlex online will take place, which would undoubtedly be a suitable stage for such a large announcement. Of course we keep you up to date.
